Ocean Twp Senior citizens 60 or older wishing to participate in the Senior Transportation Program must register with the Township’s Department of Human Services Office by calling 732-531-2600.
Monmouth County SCAT:
For Ocean seniors 60 and older, The Township of Ocean has partnered with Monmouth County SCAT to offer FREE transportation to ShopRite in Neptune and Wegmans in Ocean. Participants must register by calling the Monmouth County Dept of Human Services 732-431-6480. Once registered, rides will be scheduled through the Township of Ocean Dept. of Human Services 732-531-2600.
Township Van:
For Ocean seniors 65 and older, The Township of Ocean provides FREE transportation utilizing our township vans for medical appointments and shopping. Medical appointment rides are provided on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9 am - 2 pm. to nearby doctor's offices and hospitals. Shopping rides are provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am-2pm to businesses located in Ocean Township.
Please call at least 2 business days in advance of your appointment.
Seniors riding in the Township vans must be able to enter and exit the minivan with minimal assistance. For those riders with mobility issues that require handicapped accessible transportation, please see the information regarding services provided by Monmouth County SCAT.
