The Municipal Gym is located at 1100 West Park Ave., across from the Township of Ocean Intermediate School.
The indoor facility accommodates a regulation basketball court with three, downsized side by side basketball/volleyball courts running perpendicular.
In addition to Township sponsored youth and adult basketball programs, the gym is used for other recreation programs including Senior Fitness, Pilates, Volleyball, Summer Camp and Project Extend Holiday Care. It is also used as a polling location for our residents and can be used as a shelter if need be.
Non-profit organizations are permitted to rent the facility for basketball/volleyball games and practices and other recreational purposes although some exceptions do apply. While the facility is not available for private bookings we encourage our residents to participate in the many varied recreation programs offered by the Township.
Available outdoors at this facility is a multipurpose field used for football practices, lacrosse and soccer. There is also a playground and additional multipurpose field space on site.
