The "OWN OCEAN" Property Tax Rewards Program
The Own Ocean property tax rewards program kicked off on August 1, 2015. It has allowed participants to receive $41,000 in aggregate to date! The program, which is open to anyone, allows participants to earn rebates while shopping and dining with participating merchants. Our participating merchants offer varying discounts on qualifying purchases which will appear as a credit on participating property owners’ third quarter property tax bills each year or, in the case of renters, returned via a rebate check in August of each year.
If you don't have an Own Ocean card yet, stop in to the Tax Collector's office in Town Hall, 399 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, during business hours to pick one up.
