Ocean Township will include plastic film as an accepted item in its curbside recycling program. This will be a one year pilot program in partnership with Un-Waste, a local organics and recycling company, for single family units.
"Plastic Film Only" labeled recycling bins are available for free pick-up at the Recycling Center located at 3603 Sunset Ave. Hours of operation are 7:30am-2:30pm Mon-Fri and Saturday 8am-12pm.
To participate, place your dedicated plastic film bin out on the curb and include clean and dry plastic bags, plastic storage bags such as Ziploc brand bags, dry cleaning bags, and other flexible plastic film for recycling pick-up. Un-Waste will pick up the material on the last Monday of the month.
