Route 71 Closed 4/29 to 5/1 from 10pm to 6am between North Lincoln Ave and South Lincoln Ave
Due to urgent roadway repairs at Rt. 71 and Poplar Ave in Deal, construction at Rt. 71 MP 11.8 between North Lincoln Ave and South Lincoln Ave has been rescheduled to next week. The contractor will need up to 3 nights of full Rt. 71 closure, so the contractor will begin work on Monday night, 4/29 and continue repairs via Rt. 71 detour on Tuesday night 4/30 and Wednesday night 5/1.
The detour hours will remain the same, approximately 10pm to 6am.
The contractor will still need to work an additional 4-6 nights at this location. Working hours while alternating traffic are also unchanged - 9pm to 6am on Monday night through Friday night. (No construction is scheduled for Saturday night or Sunday night.)
