THE OCEAN TOWNSHIP GARDEN CLUB


Objectives

Our organization shall be operated exclusively for charitable, educational, and environmental purposes.

To further the education of members and the public in the fields of gardening, horticulture, landscape design, floral design, civic beautification, environmental education, and garden therapy.

Our community

Our club currently takes care of the following 3 township gardens:

The Blue Star Garden by the museum    The Little League Garden on Logan RD      the Municipal Town Hall Garden

Our club collaborates with other OT town organizations.  We make floral arrangements for our local Onora Retirement Home and OT recipients for Meals on Wheels. We have a sunshine fund for charitable causes.

We always have an exciting schedule:

February, we make around 125 floral arrangements.

March is always a business meeting and hands on workshop.

April we usually have a guest speaker presentation.

May can be a speaker of craft project.

June is our open to the public plant swap.

July is our members’ social tour between 4 to 6 gardens with food and refreshments afterwards.

August is usually a trip.

September is a speaker presentation.

October is usually a craft project.

November is our wreath sale fund raiser.

December is our catered holiday party.

Interested in joining? We meet the 2nd Monday of the month at the West Park Recreation Center at 7 PM. Coffee, tea, and dessert at 6:45 for our meet and greet. New members are always welcome.
