NARRATIVE
On 12/15/2007 at approximately 12:20 am, Police were
called to a Roslyn Drive residence in reference to an armed robbery of a
pizza delivery man. Officers arrived on scene and found the victim, a
25-year-old man from Asbury Park, outside the residence in the street.
Further investigation revealed that delivery man, an employee of a West Long
Branch pizza and fast food restaurant, was making a scheduled delivery in
the area. As he exited his vehicle to deliver the food to the residence,
another unknown type pulled up and two males exited. The two males then
approached the victim and one of them displayed a hand gun. The male with
the gun demanded money from the victim. The other then relieved the victim
of an unspecified amount of cash, his wallet and cell phone. The two males
were then scared off by the resident who saw the commotion outside her home
and turned on the porch light. The two males then immediately returned to
their vehicle and fled the scene. The resident allowed the victim to use he
phone and contact the police. The victim was not injured during the robbery.
The two unknown males were reportedly dressed in dark
clothing and both were wearing black masks over their faces. They were last
seen fleeing the area in an unknown make light colored sedan type vehicle.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Detective
Patrick Martin at 732-531-1800.
