BURGLARY ARREST

LOCATION: International Grocery Store, State Highway 35, Ocean, NJ
OFFICERS INVOLVED: Detective Gregory Tongring, P.O. Daniel Weber, P.O. Douglas Willm and P.O. Alon Bercovicz OTPD and Lt. DeLaune and Detective Scott Trocchia of the Tinton Falls Police Department.
ACCUSED: 17 year old Ocean Township juvenile and a 14 year old Ocean Township juvenile.

NARRATIVE:
     On 8/15/07, Ocean Township Police responded to a commercial burglary at the International Grocery Store located on State Highway 35 near West Park Avenue. The actors had fled prior to police arrival. Upon reviewing the store’s video surveillance, it was learned that two male actors had removed a quantity of cigarettes from the store. The actors were disguised and were unidentified. An investigation was launched by Detective Gregory Tongring.
     Several days later, Tinton Falls Police stopped a group of juveniles acting suspiciously in a shopping center in their town. Through a joint investigation with the Tinton Falls Police Department, two juvenile suspects were developed in the Ocean Township burglary. Further investigation resulted in charges of Burglary, Theft, Criminal Mischief and Possession of Burglary Tools against the two juveniles.
