NARCOTICS ARREST

NARRATIVE
     On 10/26/07 at approximately 12:38 a.m., P.O. Bryan Morgan conducted a motor vehicle stop on the Asbury Park Circle for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Paul Bacon, failed to produce identification and provided a name that later proved to be fictitious. Both occupants were wanted on outstanding bench warrants. While removing the occupants from the vehicle, P.O. Morgan, along with backup officers Powoski and Dickerson, located an open bottle of alcohol. Both subjects were placed under arrest. A search of the vehicle and their person yielded powder and crack cocaine as well as Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Both subjects admitted to recently purchasing the CDS.
     Mr. Bacon was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of less than 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Hindering his own Apprehension by providing a false name during a criminal investigation. He was additionally charged with driving on a suspended license and with CDS in a motor vehicle.
     Mr. Thomas was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of an Open Bottle of an Alcoholic Beverage.
     In addition to the criminal charges, $650.50 in currency was seized in connection with a CDS transaction and the vehicle they were traveling in, a 1989 Chevrolet Blazer was seized pursuant to the forfeiture laws of the State of New Jersey.
     Mr. Thomas was held on $15,000. Bail and Mr. Bacon was held on $5000.00 Bail.
