UNDERAGE DRINKING

NARRATIVE
     On 7-4-07 at approximately 12:10 am, Police were called to a vacant house on Crimson Circle in reference to a gathering of underage persons drinking. Officer Alon Bercovicz arrived on scene and found four persons on the rear porch of the vacant house. He determined that two of the four, an 18-year-old from Brooklyn and a 17-year-old from Ocean Township had been consuming alcoholic beverages while under the legal age. Both were subsequently taken into custody and transported to OTPD. The four did have permission to be at the house by the homeowner but not for the purpose of consuming alcoholic beverages. Both were charged with the township ordinance violation for consuming alcoholic beverages on private property while under the legal age. The 17-year-old was later released to his parents and the 18-year-old was released on an ordinance summons.
