FOUR JUVENILES CHARGED WITH DRUG DISTRIBUTION

NARRATIVE:
     On 7-5-07 at approximately 9:44 pm, officers from the Special Assignment Unit were on patrol in the area of the Park Blvd Park and Recreation Area. Officer Gregory Schenk observed a 2003 four door BMW parked in the lot of the recreation park after hours and occupied by four persons. Further investigation revealed that the four persons, identified as two 17-year-old males and two 15-year old males, all of Ocean Township, were engaging in illegal drug activity. All four were subsequently found to be in possession of nine small bags of marijuana packaged for sale that were inside the BMW along with ecstasy pills and a digital scale. They were subsequently taken into custody and transported to OTPD.
     One 17-year-old was charged with Possession of Marijuana with intent to Distribute, Possession of Ecstasy, Possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute within a school zone and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The other 17-year-old was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with in a school zone and Possession of drug Paraphernalia. The two 15-year-olds were both charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with in a school zone and Possession of drug Paraphernalia. All were later released to their parents.
