UNDERAGE DRINKING PARTY

NARRATIVE
     On 3/20/08 at approximately 10:18 pm, Police received an anonymous call about an underage drinking party taking place at a residence on Wickapecko Drive. Sgt. Charles Weinkofsky arrived at the residence and observed loud music along with yelling and screaming coming from the garage area. Further investigation revealed that a party was in fact taking place in the garage. Officers John Green, Dimitrios Kelesidis, William Crosta, along with Detectives Gregory Schenck, Gregory Tongring and Timothy Torchia also arrived to assist. Police found numerous empty beer cans and partially consumed cups of beer throughout the garage. Eight 16-year-old males, a 15-year-old male, a 14-year-old male, a 17-year-old female and the 17-year-old male resident were taken into custody. All were from Ocean Township. They were transported to OTPD for further processing. An 18-year-old partygoer identified as Danielle Russo was issued a Township Ordinance violation for consuming Alcoholic Beverages on Private Property while under the Legal Age and released at the scene. The juveniles were each charged with violating the township ordinance of consuming Alcoholic Beverages on Private Property while under the Legal Age. They were all later released to their respective parents. The 17-year-old resident was also charged with violating the township noise ordinance. Charges are also pending against the homeowner for making available property where persons under the legal age can consume alcoholic beverages.
