PROVIDING ALCOHOL ARREST

ACCUSED: Bobby Willard, Age 21 of Ocean Township

NARRATIVE
     On 3/20/08 at approximately 7:51 pm, Officer Bryan Morgan was on patrol in the area of Deal Road and Bowne Road and spotted a car that had faulty tail lights. Morgan subsequently stopped the car, a 1998 Volvo, near the Asbury Ave. As Morgan approached the Volvo he observed a thirty-pack of beer in the rear of the vehicle and one of the passengers hiding a bottle of Vodka between his legs. Officer Trevor Dickerson then arrived on scene to assist. Further investigation revealed that one of the passengers, identified as Bobby Willard age 21 purchased the beer and vodka for the other occupants of the Volvo. These occupants were identified as the 17-year-old male driver, a 16-year-old male passenger and a 15-year-old male passenger all from Ocean Township.
     All were taken into custody and transported to OTPD for further processing. Willard was charged with Providing Alcoholic Beverages to Persons under the legal age. He was later released on a criminal summons. The juveniles were charged with Possessing Alcoholic beverages while under the legal age. They were later released to their parents.
