DRUG ARREST

ACCUSED: Diego E. Huerta, age 19, Ocean, N.J.

NARRATIVE
     On 3/8/08, P.O. Raheem Carter was on patrol in the area of State Hwy. 35 and West Park Ave. At approximately 12:58 a.m., he made an inquiry of a license plate that revealed an arrest warrant for the registered owner. After effecting a motor vehicle stop on that vehicle, he learned that the driver, Diego Huerta, was not the registered owner, however, Mr. Huerta had no driver’s license in New Jersey. While speaking with the driver, P.O. Carter observed a small amount of vegetation believed to be Marijuana on the floor of the vehicle. The suspected Marijuana was recovered and the driver was placed under arrest for possession of under 50 grams of Marijuana. He was transported to OTPD where he was booked and charged. Mr. Huerta was released on a complaint summons for the marijuana charge as well as a motor vehicle summons for being an unlicensed driver. He was given an April court appearance.
