NARRATIVE
On 1/28/08, PO Delanoy took a report from a Point Pleasant man who reported that on 1/17/08 he mistakenly left his wallet in a taxi cab while in Ocean Township. It was later learned that multiple unauthorized charges were made on his credit cards at various retail locations. PO Green was assigned to investigate the theft. While viewing a recording from a video surveillance camera at one of the retail locations where the victim’s credit card was fraudulently used, a male subject was observed using the victim’s credit card to make a purchase. The video also showed that this suspect arrived in and was the driver of a taxi cab from the same taxi company that his wallet was left in. Further investigation revealed that the name of the driver and employee of the taxi company was William Albano and later positively identified as the subject fraudulently using the victim’s credit card. Mr. Albano was interviewed about this illegal credit card use and admitted to locating the wallet in the cab he was driving and using the victim’s credit card to make numerous purchases. Further investigation revealed that Mr. Albano gave the stolen credit card to a second subject by the name of Anthony Alagona who used the card to purchase four vehicle tires from an Ocean Township business. While looking for the vehicle in Long Branch, PO Green located a vehicle owned by Anthony Alagona and discovered the stolen tires on that vehicle. The vehicle was seized and tires recovered. Mr. Alagona admitted that Mr. Albano had provided the stolen credit card to him to be used the make the fraudulent purchases.
William Albano was charged with Theft, Forgery, Identity Theft, Uttering a Forged Document and Credit Card Theft. He was released on a Complaint Summons pending court.

Anthony Alagona was charged with Credit Card Theft, Theft, Forgery, Identity Theft and Uttering a Forged Document. Bail was set by Judge Joel Kreizman at $1,000.00 and held in default at the Monmouth County Correctional Institute pending court action.
