UNDERAGE DWI ARREST / MISSING JUVENILE FOUND

NARRATIVE
     On 2/17/2008 at approximately 5:14 pm, police received a call from a Lakeview Ave resident in reference to a group of teenagers throwing beer cans from a white Hyundai. When police arrived the vehicle had already left the area. A short time later, Officer John Hanna spotted the white Hyundai on Sunset Ave and subsequently stopped it. Further investigation revealed that the 17-year-old female driver was driving while intoxicated. She was subsequently taken into custody and transported to OTPD for further processing. Empty beer cans were found inside the vehicle and it was determined that a 16-year-old male passenger and one of the 17-year-old male passengers were consuming the beer while under the legal age to drink. It was also learned that the 16-year-old male had been reported missing by his parents on 2/15/08. The other 17-year-old male passenger was found to be in possession of a glass pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana.
     All the teenage passengers were taken into custody and transported to OTPD where they were later released to their parents. The driver was also later released to her parents.
