On Tuesday, June 14th at the Old Oakhurst School at 163 Monmouth Rd., Oakhurst, The Ocean Township Historical Museum will feature author Matthew R. Lindroth, discussing his book, "Prohibition on the North Jersey Shore, Gangsters on Vacation', detailing the dramatic effect this period of time had on the area.  Matthew R. Lindroth is a resident of the North Jersey Shore and holds a bachelor's degree in history from Rutgers University and a masters in U.S History from Monmouth University.  The event starts at 7:15PM, and is open to the public free of charge (donations are welcome).  The book will be available for sale at $19.99 each.  Please bring a non-perishable food item for the Monmouth /Ocean Food Bank.  Refreshments will be served.
