Recyclables
Recyclables, commingled bottles and cans (aluminum and tin), all paper products and bulk trash will be collected on the same day of the week twice per month.
If your household garbage is collected on Monday and Thursday, recyclables and bulk trash will be collected on the first and third Wednesday of the month.
If your household garbage is collected on Tuesday and Friday, recyclables and bulk trash will be collected on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month.
Collection Times
All recyclables, bulk trash, metal and garbage must be placed at the curb after 6:00 p.m. the day before collection but before 6:00 a.m. the day of collection .
Empty garbage and recycling collection containers must be removed from the curb by 8:00 a.m. the day after collection
Recyclables and Bulk Trash will NOT be collected on the fifth Wednesday of the month. These Wednesdays, which occur four times a year, are used for the collection of metal and appliances. The remaining dates for 2010 metal and appliance collections are September 29 and December 29. Residents must call to be placed on the collection list for these days.
Holiday Pickup Schedule
The following is the HOLIDAY PICKUP SCHEDULE for garbage and recycling:
The Sanitation Division is closed on these holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. There will be no garbage or recycling collections on these days. If New's Day or Christmas Day falls on the weekend it is observed on Friday or Monday. If the holiday is on Saturday, it is observed on the preceding Friday; if the holiday falls on Sunday it is observed on the following Monday.
Garbage will be collected on the next regularly scheduled collection day.
Paper and commingled and bulk trash: The next pickup will be on the next regularly scheduled pick-up day.
