Tennis Court Use & Procedures

The following is the tennis court reservation and use procedures:

LOCATIONS:

David Dahrouge Park , Logan Rd. and Park Blvd.
Oakhurst First Aid & Fire Co. Memorial Fields., off Larkin Pl.
Wayside Park , Green Grove Rd.
Pool & Tennis Facility, West Park Avenue, limited to use by members or those who pay the daily fee.

OPEN: 8:00 a.m. to dusk

RESERVATIONS for courts at Oakhurst, David Dahrouge (Wanamassa) and Wayside Parks:

Residents may reserve court time at Oakhurst, David Dahrouge (Wanamassa) and Wayside Parks, April 15 - October 11, during which time reservations will be posted daily. Proof of residency may be required.

Players are limited to reserving 1 hour of court time per day up to 3 days in advance by contacting the Recreation Office, Monday through Friday, before 3:45 p.m. Court time is scheduled on the hour. Reservations ARE NOT accepted for the same day as the call.

Player's name will be requested at time of reservation. Once it is determined that the individual is a resident the reservation will be accepted, based upon court availability.

Reservation sheets will be posted each morning at the above mentioned parks.

WALK-ONS : Walk-ons can play on a "first come" basis if court is not previously reserved. Walk-on use is limited to an hour (on the hour) if others are waiting to play. Walk-ons must vacate the courts any time they are reserved.  

Community Pool & Tennis Facility Courts:

All players (not only the player making the reservation) must be a facility member or pay the daily rate, (as a resident non-member or guest of member or resident non-member).  There are no refunds/credits if they get “rained out” of their reservation or choose not to use the court as scheduled.

Individuals are limited to reserving one hour of court time per day, up to three days in advance.  Court time is scheduled on the    hour.

   Use of lights for tennis:

  • Players must reserve court time and sign out a light key at the Community Pool front desk.
  • Players 22 years and older can reserve lighted courts.
  •  Appropriate daily fees must be paid for anyone who will be playing tennis.
  •  Key is to be returned to OTPD following scheduled use.
