Summer 2009 Recreation and Project Extend

Program Philosophy

Morning Recreation and Summer Project Extend are offered to provide the opportunity for a safe, fun socialization opportunity to youth in a caring environment through the provision of a variety of activities and trained staff.

Parental Responsibilities

The relationship between participants, parents and the program staff and administrators is one of mutual trust and respect.  The Department of Human Services takes very seriously the responsibility to the parents and participants for the provision of a safe and enriching environment.  The staff is well trained, well supervised and work diligently toward these goals.  The program administrators expect the parents to share fully in this trust relationship by open communication with the program and by upholding the responsibility of full cooperation with the program guidelines and rules as well as financial agreements.

Participants receive by mail a program activity schedule.  It is expected that the parents will review this information and assure that participants are prepared to the day’s activities.
