The first link brings you to Code Red Community Notification, used by this agency to notify residents of important information via telephone and cell phone during emergencies. The second link brings you to Division of Highway Safety which covers the laws concerning the use of cell phones in motor vehicles in New Jersey. The Township of Ocean Police aggressively enforces the cell phone laws on a daily basis. The third link is to Nixle, which is a secure messaging system used by this agency and police departments around the country to deliver community messages via secure text messaging and email. Our most recent update is that we have established a Twitter account. We will be informing the community on events, emergencies, road closures and other information pertaining to our department.
