Ball fields and basketball courts will re-open on May 20 for limited use and with new regulations. Doubles play will be permitted on tennis courts with social distancing guidelines. Click here for details.

Due to the uncertainty around COVID-19 we will cancel Sun & Fun A, Session 1 AM Project Extend, Session 1 Morning Recreation, Session1 PM Project Extend and Busing for sessions 1, 2 & 3.

We are exploring all options to offer programs this summer and intend to let staff and registrants know about Session 2, 3 and Sun & Fun B by June 30.

Greetings everyone, I hope everybody's well, staying home and safe. This virus has dominated the headlines and probably a lot of what we were thinking or doing for the past 2 months. On a positive note, our town seems to be working together to minimize the impact and you're all doing a great job. That being said, we prepare for the worst and hope for the best. We are being hopeful that we may be able to deliver some great summer programs.

Normally in mid-April the Recreation Department would post the Summer Program Brochure. We have chosen to delay the publishing of the summer brochure - but will post as soon as we have more information about what we will be offering.

I and the Recreation Staff are looking forward to bringing you great summer fun! So watch for announcements about our programs and facilities! For now, stay home, stay safe and we'll get through this sooner than later.

Sincerely, Mayor Chris

Dear Ocean Township,

Fear and anxiety about a disease can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Parents and caregivers of seniors may have questions as to how to respond to their loved one. Neighbors may be worried about residents who are on their own. Concerns for the future in regard to HSD programs may arise. Others may want to offer support and not know how to contact those in need. Although our municipal buildings have been closed to the public as of 3/16, the Department of Human Services staff is available via telephone, 732-531-2600, Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 4:30 p.m. to respond to your questions and concerns. If you or someone you care about is struggling emotionally, our counselors are available to talk on the phone and discuss resources available.

Please do not hesitate to reach out and let us know how we may help. Together, we will cope with this stress, support our community, and be stronger for it.
