The New Jersey Stormwater Management rules and the NJ Clean Water Act mandate that each municipality devise a plan that meets their regulations. Leaves may be placed in the street for collection only within ten business days prior to the scheduled collection period, based on your zone (refer to the zone map below), and a schedule for collection has been devised. Leaves are collected loose at the curb from March 1 through April 30 and from October 1 through December 30. Each zone should put leaves out only during the ten business days prior to each collection period. The chart below outlines the dates of curbside placement and the dates for collection in your zone.
