Patrol Vehicles
The Township of Ocean Police Department has a fleet of first line patrol vehicles. A majority of these vehicles are "fully marked" vehicles (as displayed above), meaning they display decals and overhead light bars for easy recognition. Each patrol vehicle is equipped with all of the necessary tools an officer needs to effectively handle a variety of calls for service. Some of those items are UHF and VHF radios, mobile data computers, mobile digital video cameras, still digital cameras, radar, flashlights, fire extinguishers, automated external defibrilator (AED), oxygen, first aid supplies, lock-out tools, flares, cones, and evidence collection kits.
Our newer vehciles display our award winning new look. This makeover consists of a new paint scheme and graphics as seen in the picture on right above.
